The most sound advice will often inform one to trust his or her intuition, to put his or her “best foot forward,” and keep on walking in that positive direction. Tractor Brewing has very much decided to put one of it’s “best” out front for 2016. For those that didn’t already know, Tractor’s Milk Mustaschio Milk Stout took home “Best of the City: Milk Stout,” the past two years, by way of Albuquerque The Magazine voters. Now in the can, and all over town, some places, flowing out of the taps, Tractor is deciding that 2016 will start with a focus on this delicious beer.
Ever had a “Milk Stout” at Tractor? If not, what you should know is that this beer is, a complex sweet stout that derives its body from lactose(milk sugar) that is added to the kettle at the end of the boil. Notes of roast and chocolate come through with a smooth creamy finish. Sounds good right? It surely is good and quite special – special enough to make a whole month’s worth of fuss about it. That’s right, Tractor Brewing is naming January 2016, “Milk Stout Month.”
At both locations, and around town, look for promotions featuring Tractor’s Milk Mustachio Milk Stout. January 9th from 4-6pm we will be hosting a tasting at Whole Foods Carlisle, and back again on the 30th, same time and place. On January 15th, we head to Uptown and hang out at Total Wine from 4-7pm, pouring out some Milk Stout goodness, and then, headed West on the 22nd, we will be at the Cottonwood Total Wine as well.
Aside from seeing us around town, and taking our amazing package craft beer home, keep an eye out at New Mexico “pint night” promotions. Now all over NM, we have plans to head to Taos, for some stouts – so stay tuned! Take a picture with our “step and repeat” when you spot us out, hashtag your photo on social media with #MilkStoutMonth and see if you win some Tractor swag!!!
