It’s nearing that time, Beer Farmers. Coming down the pipeline here is a Theatre festival of epic proportions. Each year our friends at Tricklock Company put on the Revolutions International Theatre Festival. It is a three-week extravaganza of world-wide theatre. There are of course amazing shows sourced from local actors, and poets, musicians, and playwrights, but the awesome thing is, there are also theatre companies from all over the world, right here in this little city of ours!
The festivities will kickoff at T-Lab, Triclock’s performance space on 2nd and Gold downtown, on the 13th of January. Then, it is off to the races, friends. Theatre just about any way you wanna order it – and this year, there are companies from: Ukraine, England, Mexico, Iran, Austria, Armenia, Israel, and the United States. Aside from the staged and rehearsed, know what you are getting into, for the most part, kind of theatre. There will also be a host of Reptilian Lounges throughout the two weeks of the festival. Ever been to a lounge? Let’s see… if your answer was no, here’s what you can expect:

At the lounge, expect the unexpected! Be prepared to dance for ten seconds at a time. Get ready for beer wielding hosts who will provide a barrage of banter, not only for you the audience, but in the direction of each other, because well, the beer is good and affordable and that’s what happens. Be prepared to yell “sociable…” and growl at your neighbor in a pirate sort of way – but a friendly pirate. Be prepared for poets, and comedians, and change oh my! That’s right, change – bring your cash to buy your ticket, and extra cash to trade for change – because well – it gets thrown at lovely ladies… “Oh Target Girl….” Yeah – that happens… Sound fun? One more thing – WE WILL BE THERE!

That’s right, continuing in the community minded fashion that is all things Tractor, Tractor Brewing Company will be pouring on-site as the beer vendor for many of the Revolutions shows and parties. We are even hosting our own show this year for the first time, at Wells Park, as part of the Calendar of Events! I’LL Drink  To That, our monthly variety show has been added to the Revolutions lineup, and the lineup for this particular IDTT might quite possibly be the best one ever put together – don’t believe us?
