How did you artist career begin?
I’ve been making art since high school. Its always been something I enjoy doing.
Give me 3 words that describe your art as folks witness it today?
As quoted from Instagram
“Wowzer”
“Sick”
“Epic”
How has your art evolved?
My artwork has evolved over the years as a result of many factors, I’d say primarily it has a lot to do with experimentation with various mediums and just going with what’s sounds fun at the time – woodcarving, charcoal, paint, lasers… Secondly, technical skills get refined along the way. By fine tuning my brushwork, etc. it feels like I can articulate the ideas/concepts better and in turn the compositions become stronger.
Where do you think your art will take you?
No idea – that’s the best part.
Who is an inspiration for your work?
Anybody or anything can inspire a work. I’m not picky.
What is the goal when you set out to create?
I just enjoy every step in the creative process. Feels like I learn something every time. I guess the goal becomes to create more.
If you could give young artists a piece of advice, what would it be?
Integrate artistic thought into every aspect of your life.
What is next for you in your career?
I have a few furniture designs in the works that I’m very excited about. It will take some of the recent wood cut designs to the next level.
